I am3inspired by the passion and commitment of Team H 2 O for the work wedo each day, though we do so in the face of imperfect circumstances, andI am motivated to address the imperfections and ensure that a rising tideAcknowledgments3 lifts all boats; that is my commitment to this team.In preparing to join WSSC Water, I decided to approach this transition5-9of leadership and vision as one would approach a transition for a Fortune500 company: by establishing a Transition Team with the responsibilityof solidifying priorities for our first year together, as well as identifyingSection 1 - Transition Planpain points, barriers to success and, most importantly, opportunities toleverage as we move forward. Through this process, we have establishedTransition Approach 5-6the culture we want our employees to experience here at WSSC Water;anchored by our core values and what it truly means to be a high-Transition Team7-8 performing team. A culture that is inclusive, accepting of diversity, andone in which the teams success is rooted in trust.Transition Report9 In collaboration with our Commissioners, my Transition Team and ourSenior Leadership Team, I established key priorities for the first year of10-37 my tenure: Building a Strong Workforce, Improving Service Delivery,Financial Stewardship, Addressing Regulatory Challenges and ImprovingSection II - Operational Reliability and Resilience. These are all underpinned by afoundation of diversity, equity, inclusion and environmental justice. I amKey Priorities & Recommendations10 happy to report that the feedback and input from internal and externalstakeholders suggest that these priorities were spot on to actualize ourBuilding a Strong Workforce12-19 current vision, establish a new north star and deliver on our promises;that is the commitment WE make to our customers.Service Delivery20-23This transition report identifies 178 recommendations across our keyFinancial Stewardship24-27 priorities.
